Mon voyage a commence a 4h du matin avec un vol partant de Québec a NewWark et ensuite Quito. Quelle coincidence, je prends exactement le meme vol que mon bon ami Remy Rexx Pinsonneault... mais notre avion est brisé... On doit alors oublier notre pizza dans la petite Italie et la visite de lempire State Building Au lieu de ca, on sest retrouve a courrir toute la journee apres des avions... et arriver a destination a 11h30 le soir et ce sans bagages!!!
Je fus accueilli a Quito a bras ouverts par 5 membres de lAiesec a Quito pour ensuite avoir droit a un repos bien merité!!!
Je vecu dans un hotel tenu par des gens très sympatique pendant 4 jours.

My trip started at 4 am the day that I had to take a flight from Québec City to Newark and then get to Quito. What a coincidence, I was in the same flight as my good frient Remy Rexx Pinsonnault but our plane did not left the ground So we couldnt go eat a pizza in the Little Italia and visit the Empire State Building. Instead, we ran all day long to find a way to get to our destination!! I arrived at 11h30 in the evening without any luggages!!!
Five members of the Aiesec gave me a great welcome at the airport then I had a chance to relax a bit after a crazy day!
Ive spent the first four days in an hostal that was belonging to a great little family.
Jai eu droit a ma premiere biere un mardi apres-midi avec des jeunes de luniversite... On dirait que ca nexiste pas des petites bieres... 3 grosses pour 2$ US ... pas pire pas pire!!! Un jeune homme fort sympatique ma montré tous les mots vulgaires du coin jétais déjà en business
Ive took my first beer in the afternon on a Tuesday with some university folks. 3 refreshing large beers for 2$... not bad at all!! A guy also taught me all the bad words from Ecuador so that I can get around without any problem!!!

Jai eu ensuite le droit de visiter Quito!! Quelle ville extraordaire... il y a de tout!!! On dit que cest la capitale la plus securitaire damerique du sud... et je le crois!!
Ici, il y a des indiens (ou indígenas comme on les appelles ici) un peu partout dans la ville!!! La plupart on un stand dans la rue ou bien vendent des vétements ou couvertures tissees!!
Then, Ive visited Quito for a couple of days.. What a great city theres a bit of everything!!! They say that its the safest capital in South America and I believe it!
Here, we can see natives everywhere. Most of them have a stand in the street where they sell a bit of everything.

La partie touristique ici sappelle GringoLandia on peut y voir des blancs !! (un gringo cest un américain ou un étranger blanc)
Le centre historique ressemble beaucoup à lEspagne
Ive then spent 2 days visiting Quito.
The tourist part is called GringoLandia.. we can meet white people!! (a gringo is how they call Americans and white strangers)
The historic part looks a lot like Spain!!!
Je me suis fait un ami de Colombie et je pense quon a du visiter toutes les églises du centre ville (il y en a plus que quelques unes!!) On a eu le droit de voir de belles lumieres de noel autour du petit jesus !!
Ive met a guy from Colombia and I think that we have visited all of downtowns chuches We have seen some great Christmas lights around a little statue of Jesus!!
On est allé voir un spectacle de danse traditionnelle andine (assez impressionant ils nous ont fait danser avec eux !!!) et prendre une bière dans un pub Irlandais... Les serveuses avaient d écrits sur leurs gilets : "A pint and a fight a great Irish night!!!!!"

We went to view a traditional dance show (that was pretty incredible, they even invited us to go danse with them!!) after that, we went to take a beer in an Irish Pub where the waitress had this written on their t-shirts "A pint and a fight a great Irish night!!"

Jai eu le droit à la meilleure vue de Quito sur le toit de la cathédrale à 93 mètres dans les airs cest assez épeurant monter les dernières marches de léchelle!!
I had a great overall view of the city on the top of the cathedral, which is 93 meters of the ground That was pretty scary to go up the little tiny ladder that lead to the top!!
Quito est surplombée dune grande statue dun ange qui sappelle panecillo (petit pain) ça a un certain charme !!
On the top of Quito, theres a statue of an angel that is called Panecillo ( that means small bread) Its really charming!
Dans les parcs, le monde jouent à un sport plutot étrange cest comme du volleyball, mais à trois, avec un filet plus haut et sur le ciment
In the parks, poeple play a really strange sport called Ecuavolley its like volleyball, but they are 3 against 3, the net is higher and they play on the ciment!!
